Mania media has got more information about the incident that happened at Hotel Triangle on 29th July 2022 where the management had been accused of kidnapping a client over UGX300,000/=.
We’ve learnt from the Hotel management that it’s the client who never acted in line with what he’d arranged with the hotel during booking.
The client, in his perception had booked a buffet for only 10 people but instead came with 15 people who were all served and therefore he was charged an extra fee of 300 thousand for the extra 5 people.
He never agreed to pay the extra charge saying that the original fee of 600k is what they’d agreed upon with the hotel management, and further says he wasn’t told that he’d be charged for the extra, which the management disagrees with.
The hotel management has told Mania Media that they, with the client, had agreed upon UGX60,000/= per person which is UGX.600,000/= for 10 people and UGX.900,000/= for 15. They also add that the client wasn’t confined in a cold room but rather given a comfortable seat to allow him prepare himself to pay his balance.
The hotel management says that, “The client sat for an extra hour making phonecalls until his people came with the money before he was allowed by the hotel security to leave.”
It was a lack of understanding that led to the falling out of the two parties.
