Uganda did not receive any nominations for the 2024 Grammy Awards despite having more than five entries considered for the awards.
Jose Chameleone had two entries considered for Best Global Music Performance and Best Music Video respectively, Eddy Kenzo was considered for Best Global Music Album, Best Global Music Performance, Best African Music Performance, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. Mc Norman was considered for Best Reggae Album, Vinka for Best Global Music Performance, and GNL Zamba for Best Global Music Performance.
The nominees for the awards were announced on November 10, 2023, and the ceremony will take place on February 4, 2024, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
The nominees for Best African Music Performance include “Amapiano” by ASAKE & Olamide, “City Boys” by Burna Boy, “UNAVAILABLE” by Davido, and “Rush” by Ayra Starr
